You provide important information about yourself to a variety of businesses and organizations. The same is true when you do business with our financial institution. You’re asked to provide us with certain personal information that helps us give you better service and complete transactions more effectively.

We, our, and us, when used in this notice, refers to Treasury Credit Union.
This is our privacy notice for our members. When we use the words you and your we mean the following types of members:
- Our consumer members who have a continuing
relationship by purchasing or holding financial products or services such as a:
- Share account
- Loan account
- Credit card account
- Self-directed Individual Retirement Account
- Mortgage brokerage services
We will tell you the sources of the information we collect about you. We will tell you what measures we take to secure that information.
We first define some terms:
Nonpublic personal information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records. Hereafter, we will use the term information to mean nonpublic personal information as defined in this section. An affiliate is a company we own or control. A non affiliated third party is a person we do not employ or a company that is not an affiliate of ours. This is also known as nonaffiliated third party, or simply, “other party.”
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information about you from the following sources:
- Information you give us on applications or other forms
- Information about your transactions with us
- Information about your transactions with other parties
- Information from a consumer reporting agency
- Information obtained online when you visit www.treasurycu.org including any online application, transaction, or correspondence.
THE CONFIDENTIALITY, SECURITY, AND
INTEGRITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
Employee Access: We restrict access to information about you to those employees who need to know such information or as necessary to conduct a transaction or respond to your inquiries. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect this information.
Internet Security: Treasury Credit Union uses the latest technology (VeriSign) to protect your account information from exposure to unauthorized persons. We achieve this level of security through password protected access to system, unsurpassed 128-bit encryption, 3 invalid login attempt limit per day.
VeriSign- the recognized leader in internet security allows you to see security features of our Online Access program before you use it.
INFORMATION ABOUT FORMER MEMBERS
We do not disclose information about former members unless if required to enforce or administer an account or as permitted by law.
AUTHORIZED SHARING - JOINT MARKETING
We may disclose information to other financial institutions and third party service providers with whom we have established joint agreements with. We limit any information sharing to the extent necessary to service your account. Parties who receive information from us include: processors; data/payment/card, collection and credit reporting agencies, financial/insurance service providers (CUNA Mutual). We may share the following information:
- Member information - name, address, account number
- Account information - types, balances, transaction history
- Transaction information - dates, amounts, location and type of transaction
The Credit Union does not sell any member
information with non-affiliated third party marketers offering their products and services. While we may offer financial products and services of our third
parties, we control the member information used to make such offers.
SHARING INFORMATION AS LEGALLY
REQUIRED OR PERMITTED
We may share any non-public personal information of yours in response to a lawful request issued by a court, government agency, or regulatory authority or as permitted by law in order to administer or enforce your account. We may also share our experience information about you with credit bureaus. Our reporting to credit bureaus is governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which affords you the right to make sure that your credit bureau reports are accurate.
